Where can you bet in Brazil? The current legal position
What official sources say about sports betting, and why an old list of bookmakers may be out of date.

At our check on 8 November 2026, the official sources consulted reported that Provisional Measure 1,394/2026 prohibits the operation, offer, intermediation and advertising of fixed-odds betting in Brazil. This is an information page and does not recommend betting platforms.
What changed in September 2026
Provisional Measure 1,394, published on 25 September 2026, covers fixed-odds sports betting and online games. It also covers offers by overseas operators to people located in Brazil.
Article 16 also covers advertising and content that promotes or facilitates access. A website does not need to accept bets itself for that restriction to be relevant.
An earlier licence does not establish today’s position
Operator lists published before the measure may describe the previous regime. An accessible domain or a bonus offer does not establish that an operation is currently authorised.
On 6 November, the Attorney-General’s Office (AGU) reported the suspension of a decision that had allowed CDA Gaming’s platforms to operate. We do not treat an earlier report of permission as a general authorisation.
Where to check for new decisions
Check official channels from the Ministry of Finance, Congress and the courts. The position can change, so the date of a check matters when interpreting the information.
